Local Activities

Antiquing, bike riding, fishing, gold panning, hiking, horseback riding, kayaking and spelunking are just a few of the local favorites.

The Mother Lode has an abundance of natural resources that can be enjoyed at local lakes, caverns, forested areas and more. In addition, antique stores, golf courses and wineries abound. We've included a list of just a few of the activities our area offers, with links to appropriate websites and phone numbers where possible.

Mokelumne Hill is ideally situated at the edge of Calaveras County, which makes it easy for visitors to travel to nearby towns in Calaveras, Amador and Tuolumne counties. For more information on area attractions, visit the Calaveras County Visitors' Bureau (phone 209-736-2580) or the Amador County Chamber of Commerce (phone 209-223-0350).
