Dining and Spirits at the Hotel Leger

The Whitewater Grill & Saloon, located inside the 165-year old Historic Hotel Leger, offers a seasonal menu of delectable house-made selections ranging from classic dishes to comfort food, all prepared by our talented staff under the direction of Executive Chef Louis Chiero.  With a Southern Cajun-Creole influence, you can choose from creative appetizers, soups made daily and crisp salads to a variety of poultry, seafood and meat dishes, served in the rustic ambiance of our stone-walled dining rooms.  During the summer months outdoor dining is available on the balcony or in the pool courtyard under the shade of 150+ year-old orange trees.  We can also accommodate private chef’s dinners in our basement wine cellar — call for details!

Our historic Saloon offers a casual menu during lunch and dinner, or choose from the full dinner menu (dinner hours only).  Our extensive burger selection is one of the best in the Mother Lode, with each 8oz. patty grilled to perfection and topped with one of our creative combinations, and served on a fresh bun with your choice of sides – try the garlic pesto fries, a local favorite!  Outdoor dining on the Saloon porch is also available when weather permits.

During the cooler winter months, the Saloon is a comfortable place to relax and enjoy the warmth of our 100+ year-old wood stove, while sipping one of our Leger “Winter Warmers” – try the Leger Hot Apple Cider, made with locally pressed apple cider and dark rum infused in-house for 3 weeks with figs, walnuts and cinnamon!  With a respectable selection of bourbons, whiskeys and single malt scotches, a wide variety of vodkas, gins, rums, tequilas and liqueurs to choose from, our experienced bartenders can mix you up one of our house specialty craft cocktails, or one of your favorites!

Dinner reservations for parties of 4 or more are strongly recommended Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
